Dear Sir
I was indeed delighted to spend some time with you that afternoon and I
am thankful to you for the delightful refreshments that you gave me. The greatest
refreshment and nourishment for me when I came to you was your exhilarating talk and your
inspiring presence. I have today written to Mr. Humayun Kabir regarding the Point Four
Programme and the possibilities of getting some equipments for my college and your
reference to that subject while I was talking with you. I have also indicated to him that
you are likely to mention this to him. I shall be thankful if you could ring him up and
indicate the line in which he could be of assistance to me - my colleges in this regard.
With regard to our talk
about I . L .O. and the possibility of my being included in the Delegation I am most
grateful to you for your kindness in having agreed to mention the matter to Mr. Modi and
his organisation. I do not know the procedure. I have already told you about that. Nor
have I the influence to bring off a deal. I request you to use your kind offices in
accordance with your wishes and do your best in that line. All that I am trying to tell
you is I shall indeed be happy to attend the I.L.O. Conference, as a Delegate of the
Employers. It will give me great opportunity to learn and I do hope the results of that
knowledge can be used to the advantage and for the benefit of the institutions with which
I am ass6ciated and for the benefit generally of the country.
The Alagappa College for
Women started on the 28th of June and as I told you the other day it will be officially
inaugurated on the 21st July by Shri Chintaman Deshmukh.
With kind regards, |
