Dear Lady Venkatasubba Rao,

I am attempting to express in words my sincerest gratitude to you and your Bhajan Ghosti for the marvelous time I had by your kindness the other evening. It is not a matter of intellect, but you will kindly appreciate when I tell you that the Bhajan really did give me peace of mind and "Shanti" in every sense of the word. I could not have expected anything better particularly while I was ill, under various conditions.

I am deeply beholden to you once again not merely for what you have done to me, how you have felt for me what is more your exceeding kindness in having offered to bring the same Ghosti or any other Bhajan or Music party as often as I would like to. May I first thank you most sincerely for your most affectionate remembrances and loving care for your young alllng friend and may I be permitted to add that if you can arrange without any serious derangement of your programme or schedule' of other work, I shall be grateful if your Bhajan Ghosti could kindly arrange to come over to my bungalow once a week and give me peace and joy. This will be greater part of my therapy than the mere medical treatment which might or might not be effective.

With kindest regards to yourself and Sir M. VenKatasubba Rao and my thanks once again to your Bhajan Ghosti for the inspiring Bhajan they performed the other day.

Yours most sincerely,

Sd...RM.Alagappa Chettiar

Dear Lady Venkatasubba Rao,

What a great delight it was to me yesterday to read your name in the list of awards under PADMABHUSHAN! Immediately, I telephoned to you, and my happiness became all the greater when your beloved husband and my valued elder and friend, Sir M. Venkatasubba Rao took up the receiver himself in his old age and talked to me, received my congratulations and congratulated me, in turn, on the award given to me and expressed satisfaction particularly in the thought that you are lucky in being bracketed with my name in the same year. Well, your life has been one of continuous Seva. Long may this spirit of service continue and may your example take root in the soil and bring in hundreds of social workers for a good cause is my sincerest prayer.

I am most beholden to you for the Bhajan Ghosti that you have been arranging so many times out of sheer love and affection for me in my bungalow. I am looking forward to meet you at your convenience.

With kindest regards to yourself and Judge, Sir Venkarasubba Rao,

Yours  sincerely,

Sd...RM.Alagappa Chettiar
