Dear Shri
Madhavan Nair,
I am sorry to write again
from my sick bed, my health being none too well. The foul disease of cancer seems to be
raising its ugly head almost everywhere in the body. I plant my faith in God and seek
deliverance through His mercy.
In this background you will
kindly excuse me for writing this letter on behalf of my very good friend, Sri M.
Palaniappan, M.L.A.,(Congress Candidate of Alsoor constituency) Bangalore. Sri Palaniappan
has come down to Karaikudi, seen my educational institutions there at work and has an
abiding interest for their growth. It is thus my interest in him arises. These are days of
elections, and nominations for elections for the Legislature. 1 shall be grateful if you
will just kindly bear in mind that I have a very high opinion of the character and
capacity for selfless service of Sri Palaniappan.
I hope when you come down
south next time, you will kindly look me up because I have no discuss many facets of the
same problem, i.e., of getting the Karaikudi Colleges formed into a University. You have
such an abundant love for me that I am certain that when you can spare some time and have
the proper opportunities, you can influence people in the right direction when occasion
arises. Kindly do come, when convenient.
With kind regards, Yours
sincerely, Sd.. RM. Alagappa Chettiar , ,
