Dear Mrs. Talyarkhan,
I am very happy to receive your letter of 18th January, and was further gladdened to know
that by Bhagavan's grace the party consisting of the President, Yourself and others
successfully went through the pilgrimage. How I wish I have the good fortune of coming
over myself to the Ashramam and pay my homage to Bhagavan at the shrine! But that is not
to be. That is God's will.
You have very rightly mentioned about Karaikudi and your visit there to. I have pleasure
in enclosing an invitation for the Association of Principals of Technical Institutions
(India)Conference, and wonder whether you could find it convenient to come over to
Karaikudi on the 5th morning and, apart from just witnessing this great conference look
round our institutions and be my welcome guest. I am prayerfully hoping to leave Madras on
the 1st February night for Karaikudi for about I0 days' stay, being taken in a wheeled
chair. But this will be made pucca only after a trial is taken with the wheeled chair and
doctors are satisfied with it, during the next few days.
So I request you kindly to let me know whether you can kindly come over. All arrangements
will be made for you and you will be treated as an honored guest which you indeed are.
Kindly drop a line.
You will be interested to hear that our great and beloved Prime Minister has written to me
saying that he will make a visit to me during his brief visit for a day to Madras on the
31st January. consider myself indeed a blessed man that .elders like the president, Vice
Presidentand PrimeMinister find it convenient to visit me and cheer me up.
