Dear Prof.
Thacker,
I have sent you an invitation yesterday for the inauguration of the Alagappa College of
Physical Education on the 27th August by His Highness the Maharaja of .Mysore. How I wish
I could have the happiness of my presence at Karaikudi. But my health is such, doctors are
still wondering as to whether I could be carried atleast in a stretcher to by. physically
present at Karaikudi so as to give me some psychological, satisfaction of being present on
~hat day, though not participate in any manner in the function. I shall be happy to have a
message from you, Prof. Thacker, as one of our colleagues in the Trust and a valued friend
of mine. Kindly do send one.
I have just received a letter from your office saying that the next Governing Body Meeting
is fixed for 20th September. But to me all these events are just dreams - myself being
immobillsed to bed for months already and for many more months according to doctors. I can
only have the privilege of meeting you when you come down South. How I wish I could have
that rare happiness particularly so to enable me to have a discussion with you about the
proposed University at Karaikudi and to have your advice, guidance what is more your
genuine assistance which you alone can render.
