Dear Mr. Chidambaram,
I hasten to congratulate you on the great and signal
honour that is about to be conferred on you; the
Mayoralty of the great city of Madras and it must be
a source of satisfaction and great pride for the
Three sons of that eminent man Raja Sir Annamalai
Chettiar to become Mayor one after the other of our
Historic City. It is of great significance that the
list of Mayoralty was started of by your brother
Raja Sir Muthiah Chettiar. Kindly do accept my most
