Letter from Sri C.Rajagopalachari

       21st April 1953.

My dear Alagappa Chettiar,

One of our best soul is gone. You were good enough to understand his greatness of character and attainments and utilised his services towards the end of his brief life and I congratulate you on the discretion and insight that enabled you to do it.

I do not know Dr.Vijayaraghavan's people at all though I know him so well and loved him so much. So I write to you to convey my grief to those who are bereaved in ~he family. I little realised the end was so near when he came with his daughter to two or three meetings where I happened to speak or attend very recently. Life is all an unknown quantity. We have lost one of our most notable and good men before we made full use of him.

This is to tender my greetings to you for the new year after Pongal.

Do not be dejected by what the doctors say in their wisdom. There is an all pervading power that wills its own will, and no marvel can beat the marvels of that will. Pray for all the misguided and unhappy people around us and He will take all care of you. God bless you.
